Research Methodology & Corrections

How we compare machines, handle uncertainty and separate affiliate links from editorial claims.

Start with original documentation

We prioritize manufacturer product pages, manuals and support articles. Food-safety statements use government or university-extension sources. Sources appear on research articles, with the review date near the byline. September 6, 2026 is the initial editorial review date, not a claim of continuous monitoring.

When sources disagree, we preserve the distinction. A selectable cycle range does not override a manual safeguard; a seal-bar width does not establish maximum complete pouch size; a compatible example is not a maximum. Confirm the revision shipped with your machine.

How models enter a comparison

A model needs a distinct ownership decision and identifiable primary documentation. We compare useful pouch dimensions, footprint, pump upkeep, operating limits and parts guidance—not unsupported rankings or bags-per-hour estimates. Fixed Amazon prices, ratings and stock claims are omitted.

A buying offer must match the exact model or explicitly labeled bundle. Unresolved listing variants are not silently substituted. Some documented models have no buying link while offer matching remains incomplete.

Tools are decision aids

Fit tools screen documented limits but cannot measure a loaded pouch or verify a seal. Cost tools calculate only from entered assumptions. The maintenance log records notes locally; it does not inspect the machine, schedule notifications or certify safe operation.

Commercial relationships and corrections

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Paid links are marked near the action. Commission eligibility does not turn a product into a verified fit or justify a hands-on claim.

Send corrections to john@localretention.com with the page and supporting source. Significant factual corrections should be reflected in the article and its review date. We do not promise a response deadline or an automatic update schedule.
